IPC Connect managing director Evelyn Webster today announces the appointment of Andrew Sumner as publishing director of Now. Andrew has been acting publishing director on the celebrity weekly since January following his secondment to Connect from IPC ignite!, where he was publishing director for music & movie monthly, Uncut. In his new role, Andrew will also join the Connect board. Andrew joined ignite! from Emap in May 2002 as publishing manager for Loaded, before being named publisher of the title in January 2003. He became publisher of Uncut in July 2004 and was promoted to publishing director in 2005. Evelyn Webster says: "I'm delighted to confirm Andrew's appointment to this important role and welcome him permanently to Connect.
